Playdough

T has just grasped the concept that playdough isn't food and that it's more fun if you play with it, so today I made him some. Homemade playdough is far much better than the store bought stuff; is non-toxic so although it's not too tastey it won't do them any harm if they eat it; you can make as much as you like in whatever colour takes your fancy; it doesn't dry out as quickly; it's so cheap! and personaly I think the actual dough is alot nicer too.

1 Minute Playdough recipe:
Your will need:
  • 1/2 cup of salt
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of cream of tartar
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • I cup of boiling water (from the kettle) mixed with some food colouring (optional)
What to do:

Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl add the hot water then oil and mix together. Kneed the dough to a even colour and texture.
Store in sandwich bags or air tight containers

  1. I have to try it. I read lots of recipes, but never did mine. This one seems simple and easy.
